My career at US Foods has spanned 41 years and I am currently Vice President of Brand Activation and Culinary Education. I lead the company's product sales and training organization serving all customer segments and I'm responsible for energizing the culinary team and sales professionals around all things food and innovation. Prior to this, I served in numerous leadership positions with in the Company, sales, product education, marketing, and innovation roles, including serving as the President, U.S. Foods-Cincinnati Division. I began my food-service career with the former John Sexton & Company, joining what is now the U.S. Foods Cincinnati market in 1979 as a sales trainee. I am a credentialed alumni of the Culinary Institute of America and holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Kentucky. I am a member of the Parents Council of Valparaiso University, the National chapter of the American Culinary Federation, the Alumni Board of the Midwest Culinary Institute, a member of the Hospitality Board of The Ohio State University and a Member of the American Academy of Chefs. I have spoken to groups across the country that include: The Veterans Administration Senior Living Conference, The University of Southern California, Yale University, The University of Texas, Princeton University, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, Williams College, The American Culinary Federation Annual Conference, and numerous other associations and companies.
